* Avril 2006 / April 2006:
- Nous avons la chance de monter à bord de la frégate de la marine française ‘Le
Prairial’, pendant son escale de 4 jours à HK. Une visite guide très intéressante
du porte hélicoptère et un super cocktail et dîner à bord.
- Week-end de Pâques passé à la plage aux Philippines à Cebu. Mer bleue
turquoise, sable blanc, soleil, cocotiers, fruits de mer, massage : un régal !
- Laurent et son amie de passage à HK pour le boulot et le plaisir – de bonnes
visites en perspective.
- Herve au Japon et en Italie… toujours et encore !
- We get the chance to go onboard the French Navy ‘Fregate Le Prairial’,
while she was stopping in HK for 4 days. A nice guided visit of the
helicopter ship and a great cocktail and diner onboard.
- Easter Week-end on the beach in the Philippines near Cebu. Turquoise blue
water, white sand, sun, coconut trees, seafood, massage: such a bliss!
- Laurent and his friend visit us in HK for both work and tourism – good
excursions to be planned.
- Hervé in Japan and Italy… still and again!
* Mars 2006 / March 2006:
- Joséphine et Gerry de passage à HK ; nous visitons Macao ensemble.
- Joséphine & Gerry stop by in HK ; we visit Macau
together.
* Février 2006 / February
2006:
- Nous rendons visite à Joséphine et Gerry à Shanghai.
- Céline se lance à fond dans l’association française de HK : Hong-Kong
Accueil et invite les ‘Jeunes’ se retrouver pour des évènements pour les
jeunes : HK for Fun !
- Herve repart en voyage d’affaires : Japon, Corée et Italie.
- Céline en profite pour rentrer en Europe pour 3 semaines : Séjour à
Glasgow avec Jérôme et les amis d’université + Séjour en Lorraine en famille
en mars.
- We visit Joséphine & Gerry in Shanghai.
- Céline becomes more active in the French Association in HK: Hong-Kong
Accueil and invite the younger francophone to gather for some fun events: HK
for Fun !
- Hervé business travels again: Japan, Korea and Italy.
- Céline makes use of Herve’s travel to go back to Europe for 3 weeks: Visit
Jerome is Glasgow and friends from university + Visit the family in Northern France
in March.
* Janvier 2006 / January
2006:
- Hervé est à HK, il n’y a passé que 6 semaines depuis le 31 août 2005 !
Donc période découverte toujours pour lui : balades, randos dans les
montagnes de HK, le Peak, Clear Water Bay, les marchés de Mongkok
aussi ! C’est tellement mieux de découvrir a 2 !
- Visite de Foshan en Chine dans le Guangdong, ou il y a un four a porcelaine
vieux de 500 ans toujours en opération et une école de Kung Fu.
- Rencontre avec John Candish lors d’une visite affaires, que nous n’avions
pas vu depuis trop d’années.
- Nouvel an chinois : Vive l’année du CHIEN !!!
- Hervé is in HK, where he’s only spent 6 weeks
since 31 Aug 2005! Thus, a discovery time still for him in HK: visits, hiking
in the HK mountains, the Peak, Clear Water Bay, Mongkok markets too! It’s so
much better to discover as a couple!
- Visit of Foshan in China (Guangdong), where there is a porcelain oven 500
years old and still baking, as well as a Kung Fu school.
- We meet up with John Candish doing business in HK, whom we had not seen for
too many years
- Chinese new year: Happy prosperous year of the DOG!!!
* Décembre 2005 / December
2005:
- Hervé repart pour un long séjour professionnel des novembre, au Japon cette
fois. Céline va le rejoindre 2 semaines plus tard. Nous resterons au Japon
jusque début janvier 2006, 7 semaines au total pour Hervé.
- Une fois le projet d’Hervé terminé, nous en profitons pour découvrir le
Japon, pays fascinant que nous ne connaissions pas et avons adoré !!!
Une découverte en train, le meilleur moyen de visiter le Japon, la neige fut
au rendez-vous et Noël très blanc !
- Hervé goes to Japan from November to January
2006 (7 weeks) for a work project. Céline joins him in Japan 2 weeks later.
We stay in Japan for Xmas and new year 2006.
- Once Hervé finishes his project, we take the opportunity to visit Japan, a
fascinating country that we did not know before and simply loved!!! Japan by
train, the best way to discover it, we had lots of snow and a very white
Xmas!
* Novembre 2005 / November 2005:
- Nous profitons du retour d’Herve à Hong-Kong pour découvrir la ville et
passer un week-end en Chine à Kaiping dans le Guangdong pour visiter les
Diaolous (tours de guet, classées au patrimoine de l’Unesco).
- Céline rencontre le Ministre français de la Santé au Lycée Français
International de HK.
- We enjoy discovering HK and finishing settling
in our apartment as Hervé in back in Hong-Kong.
- We spend a weekend in China (Guangdong) in Kaiping to visit the Diaolous
(watch towers, listed at the Unesco).
- Céline meets the French Health Minister at the French school in HK.
* Octobre 2005 / October
2005:
- Herve est en projet sur Paris et passe un week-end à Fabregues le 15/16 oct
pour rendre visite à la famille.
- Céline continue à aménager le nouvel appart à Hong-Kong (non meublé). Les
penderies, le canapé et les étagères commandées en septembre
arrivent !!! Céline reçoit sa carte d’identité de HK.
- Petite escapade en Chine pour Céline le 15/16 oct a Juliong (montagne en
pain de sucre comme a Guilin, mais beaucoup moions loin et moins
touristique : la vraie campagne chinoise).
- Alexandre, Fabrizio et Daniela nous rendent visite pendant leur séjour
professionnel à HK.
- Hervé is working in Paris for his project and
spends the WE of 15/16 Oct in Fabregues to visit his family.
- Céline continues to transform the new unfurnished flat in Hong-Kong into a
Home, clothes cabinets, shelves and sofa ordered in Sept are being delivered!
Céline gets her HK ID card.
- Céline goes to Chine for the WE of 15/16 Oct in Juliong (mountains like in
Guilin but nearer and without the tourists : the true chinese
countryside!
- Alexandre, Fabrizio & Daniela visit us while doing business in HK.
* Septembre 2005 / September
2005:
- Arrivée et installation à Hong-Kong !!!
- On emménage à la mi-septembre et Herve part à Paris au même moment pour un
projet de 6 semaines chez Technip ! C’est bien beau tout ça… Mais qui
c’est qui fait l’emménagement toute seule ? C’est Céline biensur !
Nous avons choisi d’habiter dans les Nouveaux Territoires de HK, à 2 stations
de métro du bureau d’Herve et en bord de mer, pour garder un pied dans la
‘verdure’. Il n’y a que la Baie Victoria à
traverser et on est sur HK l’île. L’appart est en effet beaucoup plus
petit que celui de Singapour, mais mieux équipe et plus récent et nous avons
garde une vue splendide sur la mer, donc le compromis en vaut la chandelle
quand on sait le genre d’apparts qu’on trouve à HK où tout le monde vit les
uns sur les autres.
- On passe pas mal de temps avec Delphine et Fabrice (lui aussi de
Bar-le-Duc), tous 2 fraîchement maries d’août et arrives de France en sept
aussi. C’est sympa se s’installer ensemble, de faire les boutiques (quelques
virées chez Ikea et les marchands de meubles !!) et de découvrir un nouvel
endroit ensemble ! Delphine et Fabrice ont adoptes un chaton de 2 mois à
la SPA : il est trop mignon et joue tout le temps sans avoir peur de
quoi ou qui que ce soit, un vrai plaisir !
- Arrival in Hong-Kong and settling in!!!
- We move in our new flat at mid-September, but Hervé leaves for Paris at the
same time for a 6-week project with Technip! Nice, but… Who is doing the move
on her own? It’s Céline of course! We decide to live in the New Territories
of HK, on the seashore, only 2 underground stations from Herve’s work in
Quarry on HK island, so we keep a foot in the ‘greenery’. There is only
Victoria Harbour to cross underground and hop we are on HK Island. Of course
the flat is smaller than in Singapore as expected, but better equipped and
much newer and we kept a splendid full sea view from the 26th floor. So the
compromise was easy to make, especially knowing the type of apartments in HK
where everybody lives on top of each other.
- We spend a lot of time with Delphine and Fabrice (He comes from Bar-le-Duc
too!) both newly weds from August and newly arrived from France in HK in Sept
also. It’s very nice to settle together, go shopping (a few trips to Ikea and
other furniture shops!) and to discover a new place together. Delphine and
Fabrice have adopted a 2 month old kitten from the RSPA: so cute and playful,
he plays all the time and without fear of anything or anybody, such a
pleasure!
* Août 2005 / August 2005:
- Préparations pour le déménagement de Singapour à Hong-Kong le 31 août 2005.
C’est officiel à nous Hong-Kong !!!
- Méga soirée pour fêter notre départ en très bonne compagnie de tous nos
copains à Singapour : ambiance chaude arrosée de cocktails, sur des airs
de musique latino, zouk, années 80 !
- Preparations for our move from Singapore to
Hong-Kong on 31 Aug 2005. It’s official Hong-Kong it is this time!!!
- Mega party in our flat to celebrate our departure and meet up with our
friends one more time: warm atmosphere with cocktails in the glasses and
latino, zouk and 80s music in the air!
* Juillet 2005 / July 2005:
- Vacances en France fin juillet / début août : un marathon ou tour de
France comme à chaque fois qu’on rentre en France pour voir un max de
monde ! Nous avons filé entre Bar-le-Duc (55), Ecrouves (54),
Montpellier (34), mariage à Nîmes (30) de nos amis Caroline et Thomas,
Narbonne (11), Carcassonne (11) pour fêter les 60 ans de mariage des
grands-parents maternels d’Hervé, Rodome (11) et Paris, où nous nous sommes
octroyé une journée touristique en amoureux et avons visite pour la 1ere fois
Le Louvre !
- Découverte de Hong-Kong pendant 1 semaine. Par chance on arrive à obtenir
des invitations à la réception du 14 juillet organisée par le Consulat de
France à Hong-Kong ; belle soirée à l’Hotel Intercontinental HK!
- Dommage pour les JOs 2012, on y était, on a supporté et on a été déçus
biensur…
- Voyage surprise pour fêter l’anniversaire d’Herve le 1er juillet
2005… Un week-end à Bintan (Indonésie) très relax et zen avec séances de
massage comme on les avait découvertes a Bali en mars.
- Holidays in France at the end of July / Beg of
August: a marathon or le Tour de France, as usual when we go back to France
to visit as many people as possible! A multi stop trip between Lorraine,
Paris, the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees. One wedding in Nimes (Caroline
& Thomas). A family reunion to celebrate Herve’s grandparents’ 60th
anniversary and 1 romantic day in Paris to visit Le Louvre!
- Discovery of Hong-Kong for 1 week. We even got tickets to the Bastille Day
reception at the Intercontinental Hotel in HK thrown in by the French
Consulate in HK.
- Disappointed regarding the JOs 2012, we were there, we supported but it was
not enough…
- Surprise trip for Herve’s birthday on 1st July 2005… A weekend in Bintan
(Indonesia) very relaxed et zen, with massage package like what we had
discovered in Bali in March this year.
* Ete 2005 / Summer 2005:
- Pour l’instant un petit voyage surprise de prévu pour fêter
l’anniversaire d’Herve le 1er juillet 2005… Donc je garde le secret
et n’en dis pas plus… SSSSHHUTTT… !!!
- Pour cet été les dates de notre retour en France ne sont pas encore fixées.
L’idée de départ de rentrer en août pourrait bien être avancée a juillet.
Certaines choses risquent de changer bientôt a Singapour et impacteraient nos
vacances en France, alors soyez patients on vous tient au courant ! Bon
été a tous !
- So far a surprise trip to celebrate Herve’s
birthday on 1st July 2005… So, I keep the secret and say no more…
SSSSHHUTTT…!!!
- For this summer, our dates back to France are still not fixed. Our original
plan to go back in August may be brought forward to July now… Things in
Singapore could be changing soon (watch this space!) and would impact our
holidays in France. But we will keep you posted anyway. Have a great summer
all!
* Juin 2005 / June 2005:
- Apres un petit ‘break’ Céline retravaille, cote administratif dans un
cabinet de psychologues pour expatries. Ca change des déménagements qui
étaient très intéressants, mais ce nouveau poste a des horaires beaucoup
moins élastiques et convient beaucoup pour notre train de vie, c’est a dire
on peut se remettre a voyager de manière plus flexible. Nos bureaux
respectifs sont désormais dans le même quartier et ça aide aussi beaucoup.
- Herve essaye le ‘wakeboard’ sur les eaux de Singapour, il aime beaucoup et
Céline devrait bientôt s’y mettre aussi maintenant qu’elle l’a vu a
l’œuvre !
- Following a short ‘break’ Céline works again,
on the administration area and personal assistant of the director of a counselling
office for expatriates and Singaporeans. A change from the moving industry
and all the rest, but very interesting; and this position has working
conditions and working hours much more compatible with our way of life. We
have enjoyed travelling again on a more flexible basis. Our respective office
are also not so far from each other, so it is much more convenient.
- Hervé enjoys wakeboarding at the weekend on the seawaters of Singapore,
Céline will give it a go soon, now that she has seen how much of a pro he is!
* Mai 2005 / May 2005:
- Ruth et Cyril nous rendent visitent en vitesse à
leur retour d’Australie ou ils ont passe leur Lune de Miel. Joyeux
anniversaire de mariage à tous les 2… Il y a un an
nous étions tous au Mexique pour le mariage à Cancun !
Nous leurs faisons découvrir le cote très asiatique de Singapour… La visite
du marche n’était pas triste !
- On découvre l’île de Java en Indonésie et plus particulièrement Yogyakarta
(capital de Java avec encore son sultan), Borobudur (plus gros temple
bouddhiste et aussi vieux qu’Angkor Wat au Cambodge) et Prambanan (vieux temple indien).
- Ruth and Cyril stopover in Singapore to see us
and discover the Lion City on their way back from Australia where they have
just spent their Honeymoon. Happy Anniversary to both of you… A year ago, we
were all in Mexico for the wedding in Cancun! We show them the very Asian
side of Singapore… The wet market experience was one of the highlights.
- We discover Java Island in Indonesia et more precisely Yogyakarta (capital
of Java with its own Sultan), Borobudur (the biggest budhist temple even more
ancient than the temples from Angkor Wat in Cambodia) and Prambanan (an old
Indian temple).
* Avril 2005 / April 2005:
- Un mois un peu plus calme, mais les tremblements de terre à
Sumatra se font toujours sentir et Singapour ressent quelques secousses
légères. Pas de degas mais la tour du condo a bien bouge et nous a donne le
mal de mer pendant quelques secondes.
- Jeremy en voyage d’affaires à Singapour
en profite pour nous rendre visite en soirée.
- On fait découvrir la raclette a nos amis asiatiques, avec la clim à
fond on se serait presque cru dans les Alpes en hiver !
- A quieter month, but the earthquakes in Sumatra
carry on happening and Singapore feels the tremors. No damages, but the condo
tower moved significantly and gave us motion sickness during a few seconds.
Jeremy is on business trip in Singapore and we get to see him a few times in
the evening.
- We introduce to our Asian friends the very typical French cheese
dish : the Raclette ; with the air-con on maximum cool we almost
felt like in the Alpes in the winter !
* Mars 2005 / March 2005:
- Sylvain et Sandrine nous rendent visite et visitent l’Asie du Sud-est :
Singapour, Malacca en Malaisie et Bali en Indonésie.
- Vacances à Bali. 7
jours de découverte de l’île des Dieux : Plages, vagues, spa, massages,
rizières en terrasse, volcans, dauphins, cascades, fruits exotiques, nasi
goreng, bières et cocktails locaux !!!
- Pâques à Singapour : cette fois-ci
nous sommes allés à la
messe en Français de Singapour, c’était comme en France, rien à voir avec la messe de minuit singapourienne des
célébrations de Noël qui nous avait beaucoup déçus.
- Sylvain and Sandrine visit us and
South East Asia: Singapore, Melaka in Malaysia and Bali in Indonesia.
- Holidays in Bali. 7 days of discover of the Island of the Gods: beaches,
waves, spa, massages, terraced rice paddies, volcanos, dolphins, waterfalls,
exotic fruits, nasi goring, local beers and cocktails!
- Easter in Singapore: this time we went to the French service in French
which was very much like at home, nothing like the Singaporean Midnight mass
we attended for Xmas which had disappointed us.
* Février 2005 / February 2005:
- Nouvel An chinois : on était dans le quartier de China Town la veille,
un monde pas possible, une grosse suée et un superbe feu d’artifice a
minuit ! Tout la ville de Singapour était aux couleurs du nouvel an
chinois : beaucoup de rouge et dore. Vive l’année du coq… C’est aussi
l’emblème de la France !!!
- St-Valentin : Cocktails en amoureux dans notre bar préféré du moment –
New Asia Bar au 70eme étage du Swissotel, a Singapour.
- On fête la Chandeleur avec un buffet excellent autour de la piscine du
GoodWood Park Hotel avec les Français de l’Association Française de
Singapour. On s’est régalé, de la bouillabaisse, a la choucroute et jusqu’aux
crêpes Suzette !
- Théâtre : Les Liaisons Dangereuses nouvellement adaptées par une
troupe singapourienne.
- Chinese new Year : We wondered
in the China Town area on new year’s eve. It was crowded, we had a good sweat
and saw beautiful fireworks. All of
Singapore was red and golden colours. Happy Year of the Rooster!!! It is also
the emblem of France!
- St-Valentin : Romantic cocktails in our current favourite bar – New
Asia Bar on the 70th floor of the Swissotel, in Singapour.
- We celebrated the Frenc Pan Cake Day (Chandeleur) with an excellent bufet
around the pool of the GoodWood Park Hotel with the French crowd from the
French Association in Singapore. Excellent meal from the south of France fish
soup ‘bouillabaisse’, to the East of France saucrout ‘choucroute’ and the
famous crêpes Suzette to finish with!
* Janvier 2005 / January 2005:
- Visite de Jeff et Dany entre leurs escapades en Malaisie et en Indonésie.
- On fête l’épiphanie avec des galettes des rois faites maison !
- Dîner Gala des 25 ans de la Chambre de Commerce Française de Singapore au
Ritz Carlton.
- On essaie enfin le club de voile en face de chez nous ! On a loue un
laser boat pour 2… La prochaine fois, Herve louera le laser boat et Céline un
canoë… Ce sera plus simple. On a quand même rigole, mais Céline n’a pas été
convaincue car elle était trempée et a fini a la mer ! Ca s’est donc
fini par une baignade a la plage d’East Coast qui est nettement plus propre
car de gros efforts de nettoyage sont désormais mis en place… On risque de
s’y habituer !
- Jeff and Dany visit us between their
trips to Malaysia and Indonesia.
- We celebrate the epiphany with home made twelth night cake.
- Gala Dinner from the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore at the Ritz
Carlton Hotel.
- We finally try the sailing club just opposite where we live. We rent a
laser boat for both of us… Next time Herve will rent the laser boat and
Celine will rent a canoe… This will be simpler. We still had a good laugh,
but Celine was not really convinced as she got soaked and ended up in the
sea! We finished up by a swim in the sea at East Coast beach which is getting
much better with all the recent beach cleaning effort, we might even get use
to it!
* Nouvel An 2005 / New Year 2005:
Nous avons fait un effort de fête pour la St-Sylvestre malgré les évènements
tristes qui entourent l’Asie en ce moment. Nous avions réservé plusieurs
semaines auparavant nos places pour le réveillon au fabuleux Hôtel Fullerton
! Le buffet européen et le champagne a volonté ont été très appréciés, suivis
de danse et cotillons biensur !
We make the effort to celebrate New
Year’s Eve and the countdown despite the tragic events in Asia just now. We
had booked several weeks in advance places for the European buffet with free
flow Champagne at the Fullerton Hotel, one of our favourite places in
Singapore. Good food, lovely champagne followed by the usual countdown fun
and dances!
* 26 décembre 2004 / 26 December 2004: Le
tremblement de terre dans le nord de l’île indonésienne de Sumatra retentit,
suivi de raz de marée dévastateurs sur toutes les cotes de l’Asie, de l’Indonésie
a l’Afrique en passant par l’inde. Singapour n’est pas touche du tout;
quelques personnes ont ressenti des secousses dans l’Ouest de l’île… Nous
habitons dans l’Est et la nouvelle fut un choc pour nous. Le tsunami fait 150
000 morts. Nous sommes si proche des lieux touchés et a la fois si loin pour
apporter notre aide. Nous faisons ce que nous pouvons en donnant (argent et
vêtements) aux organismes comme la Croix Rouge de Singapour et a la Haute
Commission du Sri Lanka. La mobilisation a Singapour est très forte.
The earthquake in the Northern part of
the Indonesian island of Sumatra strikes, followed by the devastating tidal
waves, which swiped out all coasts from Indonesia to Africa via India.
Singapore is not affected at all, only a few people felt the shake in the
west of the island… We live in the East and the news came to us as a shock.
The tsunami kills 150 000 people. We are so near the affected areas and feel
so far away at the same time. We help the way we can, giving money and
clothes to organisations such as the Singapore Red Cross and the High
Commission of Sri Lanka. The support from Singapore to the affected area is
very strong.
* NOEL 2004 / Xmas 2004: Nous
fêtons Noël à Singapour. Repas sur la plage le 24 au soir avec nos amis, suivi
d’un cocktail sous les cocotiers avant d’aller à la messe de minuit dans la
paroisse de notre quartier. Journée relaxation le 25 au bord de la piscine.
Bûche de Noël et champagne sur notre balcon avec nos amis le 26 !
We celebrate Xmas in Singapore. Dinner
on the beach on Xmas Eve with our friends, followed by cocktails under the
coconut trees before attending the Midnight mass at our local parish. On Xmas
day itself : relaxation at the swimming pool side. On boxing day we
enjoyed a typical european log cake with champagne with our friends on our
balcony.
* Décembre 2004 / December 2004: Boulot
boulot pour tous les 2 ! Et beaucoup de sorties en soirée avec la
communauté française de Singapour : French Connection, Association
Française de Singapore et aussi avec l’American Association.
Work work and work for both of us,
rather busy ! And many social evenings with the French community in
Singapore : French Connection, Association Française de Singapore and
with the American Association also.
* 06 – 15 novembre 2004 / 06 – 15 November 2004: Voyage
circuit en Birmanie / Myanmar. Superbe pays visité pendant la saison fraîche
sans une goutte de pluie, en bus, voiture, avion et bateau ! De la
capitale Yangon à Mandalay en passant par Bagan (la vallée de temples), le
lac Inle (la Suisse de l’Asie), Heho et Pindaya Caves. A faire !
On a fêté les 30 ans de Céline dans le meilleur restaurant de Birmanie ‘Le
Planteur’ à Yangon, un superbe dîner aux chandelles sous les étoiles et les
cocotiers dans le jardin d’une ancienne maison coloniale. Menu de première
classe franco-indochinois. Un régal !
Holidays in Burma / Myanmar. Beautiful
coutry visited during the cool season without a single drop of rain, by bus,
car, plane and boat ! From the capital city Yangon to Mandalay, passing
via Bagan (the temple valley), Inle lake (Asian Switzerland), Heho and
Pindaya Caves. We recommend it!
We celebrated Céline’s 30th birthday in the best Myanmar restaurant ‘Le
Planteur’ in Yangon, a superb candle lit dinner under the stars and coconut
trees, in the garden of an old colonial house. 1st class franco-indochinese
menu. Exquisit !
* Octobre - Novembre 2004 / October - November
2004: 20eme festival du film francais à
Singapour. Nous avons vu Antoine de Caunes lors de l’ouverture du festival à
l’Esplanade pour le visionnage du film ‘Monsieur N.’

theatre for the viewing of ‘Monsieur N.’
* 19 – 28 Octobre 2004 / 19 – 28 October 2004: Lydie et
Esteban de passage à Singapour – nos second visiteurs !

* 23 Septembre 2004 / 23 September 2004: Nous
prenons possession de notre VOITURE !!! Une Renault Mégane Scenic 1.6 L

c’est un vrai luxe ; alors on est très content de nous maintenant que

qu’on fasse convertir nos permis de conduire au plus vite.

special for you in Europe, but here in Singapore, to have a car is a real
luxury; so we are rather proud now that all the admin part of it is done…
well we still have to convert our French licenses into Singaporean ones soon.

commence à travailler en tant que Business Development Manager chez
Asian Tigers K. C. DAT, une compagnie de déménagement singapourienne, numéro
1 du marche asiatique, représentée dans 13 pays et qui fournit des service de
déménagement dans le monde entier grâce à ses partenaires sur tous les continents.

francaises à Singapour et gère leurs comptes lors du déménagement de leurs

relation clientèle auprès des familles francophones à Singapour.
Céline started to work as a Business
Development Manager with Asian Tigers K. C. DAT, a Singaporean moving
company, number leader on the Asian market, represented in 13 countries and
providing moving services internationally thanks to its many partners around
the world.
- Corporate Marketing and
account management of the French companies in Singapore when their
expatriates require moving services.
- French speaking customer
service representative to the Francophone community moving to & from
Singapore.
* 11 Septembre 2004 / 11 September 2004: Méga BBQ
au Bayshore Park pour célébrer nos 30 ans (un peu en retard pour Herve – 01
juillet – et un peu en avance pour Céline – 15 novembre). Nous étions tout de
même 32 adultes et 11 enfants, bref une belle bande de copains et une fête
très réussie. 11 nationalités étaient représentées : Français, Malais,
Anglais, Ecossais, Philippins, Indonésiens, Australiens, Singapouriens,
Néo-zélandais, Canadiens, Hollandais et Samoa!
Huge BBQ at Bayshore Park to celebrate
our 30th birthdays (slightly late for Hervé – 01 July – and slightly early
for Céline – 15 November). We reach a total number of 32 adults and 11
children, a nice bunch of friends and a great party. 11 nationalities were
represented: French, Malays, English, Scottish, Filipinos, Indonesians,
Australians, Singaporeans, New-Zealanders, Canadians, Dutch and Samoa!

Beaucoup de shopping, un bon ‘pepper crab’ à Chinatown, visite des grottes
indiennes de Batu et admiration des ‘hornbills’ au parc à oiseaux.
Long weekend in Kuala Lumpur
(Malaysia) where we met up with our friend Jeff. Lots of shopping, a
delicious ‘black pepper crab’ in Chinatown, visit of the Batu caves and
admiration of the hornbills at the KL bird park.

de la crémaillère dans notre nouvel appartement, avec feux d’artifice depuis

* Août 2004 / August 2004: Nous sommes enfin installés : l’appartement est
meublé d’anciens meubles chinois, décoré, rangé ; bref très confortable
et convivial. On attend plus que les premiers visiteurs ! A
bientôt !
We are finally fully settled: our
apartment is furnished with old Chinese pieces, ornaments have been taken out
of the moving boxes and displayed, everything is tidy; well it is all
comfortable and welcoming. Just waiting for guests to come and visit us! See

nouvelle carrière de Céline fut courte, mais tout de même une expérience très
enrichissante dans l'industrie du tourisme et des voyages.
Last working day with Thomas Cook for
Céline, before having some more holidays. Céline’s new career was short
indeed, but a very good experience in the Travel & Tourism industry.

Voyage au Mexique, a Cancun pour le mariage de Cyril et Ruth et tour en
voiture de la péninsule du Yucatan.

gros poissons et nager avec les dauphins ;

des toucans dans leur habitat sauvage: biosphère de Calakmul près de la

Céline retravaille et commence une nouvelle carrière dans l’industrie du
tourisme et des voyages !!! Céline fait ses débuts chez Thomas Cook,
compagnie désormais allemande et implantée en France, mais avec plus de 150
ans d’histoire en Grande-Bretagne.
Céline is working again and starting a new career in the exciting travel and tourism
industry !!! Céline is working for Thomas Cook, a now German company
with branches in France, but with over 150 years of travel history in
Britain.
* 11 - 15 mars 2004 / 11 - 15 March 2004:
Voyage en République Tchèque. Jérôme Joly qui étudie actuellement à Prague
(le frère de Céline) a été notre hôte et guide pendant 5 jours. Nous avons
aussi passé le week-end chez nos amis Pedro et Jitka en Bohême du sud.
Trip
to Czech Republic. In Prague, we stayed with Céline’s brother Jérôme Joly who
currently studies in Prague. In Southern Bohemia, we stayed with our friends
Pedro and Jitka Garcia.
* Mars 2004 / March 2004:
Céline obtient le Certificat TEFL pour enseigner l’anglais aux étrangers. Do
you want to speak English ? Céline peut vous donner des cours !
Céline
obtains the TEFL Certificate in Oxford to teach English as a foreign
language. She will adapt the teaching techniques to teach French as well.
Parler-vous francais ? Ask Céline she will teach you!
